Description of the types of data collected by the app (permissions)

The app uses calendar data that is stored on the device. This requires the Android permission Calendar. The calendars are accessed in read only mode.

To import previously exported app settings it might be necessary to ask for read access to external files. This happens if settings are provided through a third-party-app like a file manager, but only when file name instead of file contents are provided.

To operate normally it is not necessary to grant the permission to read files.

Explanation of the purpose for which this data is collected

The only purpose of this app is to provide an event overview in the form of a so-called home screen widget, i.e. a constantly available list that can be viewed at any time without explicitly starting the app.

To do this, it reads the calendars selected by the user and determines all events that match the criteria (period) defined by the user. To display the overview, only the titles and the start and end times of the events are read. There is no access to other event data such as notes, locations or participants.

Storage period

The recorded data only remain in memory for as long as it is required for providing the overview. All data that has been read in the meantime and is not suitable for display (e.g. outside the period) will be immediately purged from the memory.

Only the consecutive numbers of the calendars are stored in the non-volatile memory together with the colors of the calendars, but not their names or the associated accounts.

At no time, Events are saved in a non-volatile manner.

Information about transmission to third parties and their purpose

The app uses the data backup in Google Drive that has been possible since Android version 6 Marshmallow (API level 23). The configuration settings are stored in such a way that they can be restored when reinstalled.

This backup only includes the settings that the user can make himself, but not the events!

The app can be excluded from this automatic data backup via the android system settings without impairing its use. It would then only have to be reconfigured after a new installation.

There is no transmission of appointments to other apps or other devices of any kind.
